Thunderstorm winds lifted a roof off a shopping center at State Road 55 and County Road 349 in Old Town. Trees and power lines down with scattered power outages and debris littered over numerous county roads near Jena, Cross City and Horseshoe Beach. Hardest hit was Munden Camp in Suwannee where large trees were uprooted and tossed against buildings. One home was destroyed, two homes sustained major damage, and 10 homes and a business received minor damage. Reported by the Dixie County EMA.
There were numerous reports of roof damage in Cross City with many power poles also blown down. The Ace Hardware in Cross City was also missing part of its roof. The Dixie County Advocate newspaper also reported cars and semi trucks flipped over. An estimated 75 to 100 trees were blown down across the county. The monetary damage figure provided is a rough estimate.
Numerous trees and power lines were blown down across the central portion of the county. In the Forest Hills subdivision, a roof was torn off a mobile home, while another was damaged by a fallen tree. Another mobile home was destroyed when a large tree fell on it. A vehicle was damaged by flying debris from a nearby building.
