Macroburst winds caused widespread damage throughout the city of Akron. Trees were downed and branches were broken on every street. On the south side of town, several metal buildings were stripped of their roofs and siding. Agricultural structures along the tracks were destroyed: a grain bin collapsed and part of a grain elevator structure collapsed on a tractor trailer parked beneath. The Akron fairgrounds sustained roof damage, and a historic Ferris wheel was folded over. Damage was in the EF0-EF1 range with estimated 80-100 mph wind.
