The Hookton Slough offramp from Highway 101 was closed early in the morning. Flooding continued to worsen and began to flood Highway 101 resulting in a full closure later in the morning. The highway reopened later during the day but flooding around the adjacent fields and the offramp and side roads remained into the next day.
A National Weather Service employee examined flooding of the Elk River along Elk River Road and adjacent roads. Flooding was occurring on Elk River Road causing the road to be closed. Berta Road and other roads were also flooded along the creek. The start and end time of the flooding is uncertain.
A National Weather Service employee confirmed flooding of Old Arcata Road and Graham Road caused by Jacoby Creek overflowing its banks. This area remained flooded through the day. The start and end times of the flooding are uncertain.
