A significant hail storm occurred across the northern portion of Chicot county as a large supercell thunderstorm tracked north-northeast. The hail moved into Chicot County from southeast Drew County between Jerome and Dermott and tracked to the Halley Community. Golf ball sized hail covered the ground along the path with baseball to softball sized hail stones being the largest. Several homes sustained damaged along with dozens of vehicles sustaining substantial hail damage from dents or broken windshields.
A swath of quarter to golf ball sized hail fell across the southern portion of Chicot County. Areas just to the west of Eudora and around Eudora received the large hail as the storm moved in a general east direction. The storm continued to produce hail as it crossed the Mississippi River, but did dissipate shortly after crossing the river.
A swath of large hail fell across Chicot County as a severe thunderstorm tracked southeast. The largest hailstone was golfball sized which fell across Lake Village and east of Montrose, where it damaged a vehicle. Quarter sized hail also covered the ground east of Montrose.
