Numerous trees were blown down or uprooted in the Brierfield Ironworks Historical State Park. The Lindsey Cabin, which dates back to the 1800's, was damaged by fallen trees. A few others structures at the park also sustained damage due to fallen trees. No campers were injured on this holiday weekend.
Damaging wind with a thunderstorm downed a number of trees and powerlines on SR 5 in an area about 6 miles southwest of Brent. A couple of mobile homes were damaged and one house sustained roof damage when a tree fell on it.
Several trees and power lines were knocked down in the southern part of the county. Additionally, several buildings and homes in southern Bibb County sustained damage. One business had its roof blown off and it landed on a few homes adjacent to it. Two out buildings were destroyed and one home lost its roof in Brent.
