Severe winds caused spotty damage, mainly in the eastern half of Uvalde County, where they knocked down trees, blew down a dozen power lines, and caused damage to roofs in the area. Damage was also reported to windows in the eastern part of the county.
A severe thunderstorm downburst partially collapsed a dormitory roof at Southwest Texas Junior College in Uvalde. Emergency personnel reported trees uprooted and branches scattered around the city after the thunderstorm ended.
A thunderstorm produced wind gusts estimated at 70 mph. A Cooperative Observer in Sabinal reported widespread thunderstorm wind damage including broken power poles, downed trees, damaged and destroyed outbuildings, and roof damage to homes.
