The bow echo that impacted northwest Webb county continued northeast into southern La Salle county, causing damage in the town of Encinal. There was damage to the siding of a few trailer homes. The sheet metal on a several structures was peeled back, and even taken off in some cases. Several large 8-12 inch diameter tree limbs were snapped. Highway signs were also blown over.
A thunderstorm produced microburst over the city of Encinal. Broadcast media, from nearby Laredo, reported a large aluminum section of roof from an old school building in Encinal was blown off and carried downwind roughly one block into a house. One telephone pole was also split in half by the section of roof.
63 mph wind gust measured at Cotulla (COT). Roof was blown off trailer on Houston Street in Cotulla. Sheriff Office reported wind damage to the I-35 bridge at F.M. 468, where concrete chunks were lying under the bridge.
