Widespread flash flooding was reported with over 50 roads across the county closed at one point. Water ranged from one to three feet deep across most roads. Some of these roads were washed out including Walker's Mill Road, the intersection of Cox and Birmingham roads as well as Stagecoach Road. South Washington Avenue also reported some damage.
A daycare on the west side of Houston Street west of downtown near a small creek had to be evacuated due to flash flooding. Minor street flooding was also reported at Hwy. 59 and Bussey Road and also on Franklin Street.
Numerous streets were flooded in and around the town of Marshall, Texas. Flood waters rose quickly…especially in town where a few high water rescues had to be made from people driving their vehicles into flooded roadways.
