Half dollar size hail fell about three miles east of Wellington. Numerous tree limbs were also blown down due to wind. However, the hail was more destructive about a mile to the southeast where a cotton field was completely destroyed.
A supercell moved east of the town of Wellingtown (Collingsworth County) during the early evening hours of the 20th. A member of the public 12 miles east of Willingtown (Collingsworth County) reported quarter (1.00 inch) size hail. The storm continued to slowly move to the southeast after producing this hail.
