Members of the public shared videos of Mexico Blvd, just north of the intersection with Sam Perl Blvd, under the railroad tracks with an estimated 2 feet of water. One car was stranded and flooded in the video. The car and flooding was still there an hour later showing the car still stranded.
Torrential rains of 1.5 to 2 inches in one hour reported, and more than 2 inches in less than 2 hours, at Brownsville/South Padre International Airport and nearby neighborhoods in Cameron County caused flooding at the intersection of Boca Chica and Highway 48. Local Emergency Manager reported waters flowing over the curb and the intersection becoming impassable at 1:28 PM.
Emergency manager reported a closed road due to urban flooding in Palm Valley near the intersection of Queens Sago Dr and Stuart Place Rd. Time of event estimated by radar and duration of estimated rainfall of 3 to 4 inches in two hours.
