Strong straight line winds destroyed a large barn and damaged numerous trees, in addition to briefly lifting the roof off of a home before setting it back down. These straight line winds were associated with the rear flank downdraft of a tornadic supercell.
Severe thunderstorm winds caused barn and residential home damage, flipped over camper trailers, downed power lines and tree damage. Reports were of major barn damage with debris from the barn striking and damaging a nearby home. A 100 year old oak tree was blown down in the town of Caldwell. The location of the majority of damage was west of the town of Caldwell and in western potions of Burleson County, but specific locations are unknown.
Broadcast media reported damage in Somerville around the school campus. One home sustained major damage from a fallen tree. One vehicle was damaged by a fallen tree. No injuries were reported. Wind gusts were estimated at 70 MPH.
