Straight line wind damage began just west of the Splendor Oaks subdivision off of Highway 139 in Sevier county. One large tree was snapped near the base of the trunk, with another uprooted. Additional large branches were snapped off other trees. Damage continued to the Jefferson county line.
Several trees were reported down in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Trees were reported down in the Treemont, Laurel Creek, and the Little River between Elkmont and Laurel Falls. Trees were also down along the Gatlinburg bypass.
