Sheriff reported numerous trees down northwest to southwest of Sumter. Trees were down near the community of Stateburg around the intersection of Hwy 378 and State Hwy 261. Other trees were down near Nettles and Ramsey roads.
A trained spotter reported numerous roof tiles blown off a home's roof on Trailwood Dr. A rotted tree trunk fell on a chain link fence, damaging a small section of the fence, at another home on Trailwood Dr. Another nearby home had a small metal gazebo blown over and damaged.
A line of severe thunderstorms produced a downburst of severe damaging winds across Sumter Co SC along a swath from near Rembert southeast across Sumter and vicinity to near Brogdon. Several reports of downed trees were received.
