A NWS Storm Survey found damage from a micro-burst along a 1.4 mile long path along U.S. Highway 62 in Jackson Center. The maximum winds were estimated between 80 and 85 MPH, and the width of the damage path was around 50 yards. Damage consisted of numerous soft and hardwood trees snapped or uprooted, with roof damage to several family homes and garages.
A microburst passed across South Pymatuning Township, producing wind gusts estimated at 70 MPH. These winds downed over 100 trees and tore off an apartment building roof. The path of this microburst was approximately 1 mile long and 1/2 mile wide.
Microburst winds estimated at up to 70 MPH downed between 40 to 50 trees. A few outbuildings were destroyed. Some minor roof damage to homes was noted. Several cars were damaged by falling trees. The majority of damage was centered along Mill Creek.
