Severe thunderstorms dropped large hail across several municipalities in Delaware County. The largest reported hail was golf ball size in Media Borough. Quarter size hail was reported in Lansdowne Borough. In Clifton Heights Borough, penny size hail covered the ground. Dime to penny size hail were reported in both Boothwyn (Upper Chichester Township) and Concord Township. Dime size hail fell in Drexel Hill (Upper Darby Township) and Parkside Borough.
The same severe thunderstorm produced a swath of large hail (quarter to golf ball size) across eastern Delaware County from Haverford Township south through Yeadon Borough. The largest hail (golf ball size) was reported in Yeadon and ping pong ball size hail (1.5 inches in diameter) was reported in Drexel Hill in Upper Darby Township.
A line of thunderstorms dropped a swath of penny to nickel size hail across eastern Delaware County. Nickel size hail was reported Boothwyn while penny size hail was reported in Drexel Hill, Springfield, Clifton Heights, Sharon Hill and Lansdowne.
