Severe thunderstorms moved through southwestern and southern Oklahoma the evening of the 12th, producing up to three-quarter-inch hail and winds up to 60 mph. Severe thunderstorm winds also caused a tractor-semitrailer to overturn and blew signs down near Wilson in Carter County.
Numerous tree limbs and power lines were downed by the strong winds. A few buildings in the downtown Ardmore area had windows blown out, including a few windows at the Daily Ardmorite newspaper. The metal roof at Parkway Storage was severely damaged. A storage shed was also severely damaged. Monetary damages were estimated.
Severe thunderstorms moved across southern and central Oklahoma during the evening, dropping large hail in several areas and producing damaging winds in Carter County. Hail as large as golf balls was reported in Graham in Carter County, in Walters in Cotton County, five miles southwest of Madill in Marshall County, in Waurika in Jefferson County, and one mile southeast of Taylor in Cotton County. Severe thunderstorm winds in Dickson in Carter County downed three inch tree limbs.
