The Beaver County Emergency Manager reported that residents five miles south of Elmwood had their windows broken on the north side of their houses from the hail blowing in the wind. The Emergency Manager also reported that trees were stripped of their leaves…their maize crop was destroyed…and that their cattle had welts from the hailstones.
A trained spotter measured 1 inch diameter hailstones 4 miles northeast of Floris in northern Beaver County. Sub-severe hail the size of nickels occurred around the same time 1 miles east of Forgan, per another trained weather spotter.
A line of thunderstorms moved across the eastern Oklahoma Panhandle during the evening hours of the 6th. As the line approached the town of Slapout (Beaver County), the County Emergency Manager reported tennis ball size hail (2.50 inches) 5 miles east of Slapout (Beaver County). After producing this hail, the line of thunderstorms continued moving eastward and entered western Oklahoma around 10 PM CST.
