Thunderstorms winds measured by spotters as high as 72 mph downed numerous trees, many of which fell on cars and blew on to and into homes. A construction trailer was severely damaged and some businesses received damage.
The roof of a mini mall on West Market Street was partially removed. When this occurred, rain was allowed to enter the building causing water damage, which closed three businesses. When the roof came off it damaged a vehicle.
Widespread tree and power line damage occurred across Montgomery County with the heaviest damage along and west of Interstate 75, especially in Perry Township. DP&L reported that around 25,000 customers were without power in Montgomery County after the storm.
