A silo was destroyed and farm equipment was damaged due to damaging thunderstorm winds. In addition, a house had siding and roof damage. Trees were also reported down around the area. A barn was destroyed and a large storage shed was damaged due to the winds.
High winds knocked down over 100 trees in the city, including twenty which were two feet in diameter or larger. There were several reports of trees falling on cars and homes producing minor damage. A woman sustained fractured ribs when a large branch struck her car during the storm. The storm also produced dime sized hail throughout town.
Trees and limbs were downed, some on power lines. A police officer responding to a call to check on downed power lines had to be treated after stepping out of the car into some standing water which had been electrified by the downed line.
