A LARGE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM PRODUCED A DOWNBURST ALONG A MILE STRETCH OF SR 1640, FROM INEZ TO BETHLEHEM. TWO MOBILE HOMES WERE DESTROYED, 12 OTHER DWELLINGS WERE DAMAGED. ONE MOBILE HOME WAS BLOWN OFF ITS FOUNDATION AND ROLLED OVER THREE TIMES. SR 1640 WAS BLOCKED BY NUMEROUS FALLEN TREES.
A couple of trees were blown down onto power lines in Macon. In Warrenton, several reports of property damage were received, including a rubber roof peeled off of a radio station, aluminum siding peeled off of a doctor's office and a glass door blown out of a service station.
