One tree was reported down on a house on North Carolina Highway 145 and several trees were in the road along Highway 145 at Cason Oldsfield Road. Numerous trees were also reported down between Southwest Morven and North Lilesville.
Numerous trees were blown down along a swath from near Burnsville to near Morven. Within this swath, multiple trees were blown down onto power lines near Wadesboro, causing at least one transformer fire. Also in Wadesboro, a tree fell onto a car, but no damage information was available.
A strong cold front swept across the state spawning severe thunderstorms across the Southern Piedmont, Sandhills and Coastal Plain of North Carolina. Most of the damage was to trees being blown down and atop power lines.
