Thunderstorms winds downed numerous trees and power lines across Potsdam/Colton/Parishville/Hopkinton vicinity. Roads throughout Parishville blocked by downed trees and power lines, including a tree that fell and severely damaged a home.
Numerous trees down, dock and pontoon boats flipped over on Raquette river due to straight-line, microburst. The winds ripped through the area of Cottage Road and West Higley Road and sent trees crashing into homes. The winds picked up boats and hurled them through the air.
An isolated severe thunderstorm struck Massena during the evening of June 29th causing extensive damage in some areas. Numerous trees and power lines were downed by a downburst. Damage occurred to several homes with the glass windows blown in at a nursing home where three residents were injured. In addition a tractor-semitrailer was blown over spilling gas onto a parking lot.
