A severe thunderstorm uprooted several trees in Mansfield Township. Janes Chapel Road was closed because of downed trees between the Mount Bethel firehouse and Pequest Road. Valley Road was also closed in the township because of downed trees, poles and transformers.
A severe thunderstorm uprooted more than a dozen whole trees and knocked poles to the ground in Hackettstown. One vehicle was totaled by a downed tree. About 1,500 homes and businesses lost power in Hackettstown and Liberty.
A few photos were relayed of damage to trees and a couple signs blown down in and near Hackettstown. A gas station sign was blown down in downtown at Valentine Street and Main Street. Several trees sustained damage near Crane Road and Willow Grove Street.
