Large hail damaged a car just before a tornado lifted the car off of the ground four times. The tornado moved east, downing around 40 utility poles and 20 windmills. Outbuildings on four ranches were damaged and an old schoolhouse was destroyed.
According to spotter's report, an area from Ardmore, SD to south of the Nebraska state line, house windows were broken by hail. Estimated 60 MPH winds. Car windows broken. Over 1.00 inches of rainfall. Gravel piles along HWY 71 blown across the road. Estimated time of report.
