Scotts Bluff County EMA shared numerous photos of tree and property damage with multiple large trees down with structural damage to several outbuildings in SW Gering due to an apparent localized microburst. Wind gusts estimated at 70+ MPH.
There were multiple reports from county officials of downed trees and branches across eastern portions of the county. There were scattered power outages due to downed utility lines. Wind gusts were estimated between 60 and 65 mph.
The KNEB Station Manager reported that a 300-foot KNEB broadcast tower on the west side of Scottsbluff collapsed due to strong wind gusts. 750+ trees down in Scottsbluff in Gering, including several very large trees. Wind gusts estimated at 80+ MPH.
