One hundred percent of the businesses and homes in the town were damaged from the combination of large hail and damaging winds. Many vehicles also had significant damage. Damages included roofing, windows, gutters, siding, trees and gardens. See entire episode narrative for full details.
NWS employee reported hail up to 8 inches deep in places on the west end of Glasgow. The hail was all less than 1 in size but it came down in two waves, the first just pea size hail and then a break and then larger hail to penny size that started accumululating and covering roads, parking lots and yards.
One and half inch hail fell for about 4 minutes and then penny sized hail lasted an additional 10-11 minutes. Winds estimated at 70 mph combined with the hail caused significant damage. See entire episode narrative for full details.
