A dead tree fell onto a vehicle that was traveling southbound on Highway 21, injuring the driver and killing the passenger. A witness trailing the vehicle reported there was only light wind and rain, as did a Missouri State Trooper. The vehicle was destroyed.
Thunderstorm winds blew down numerous trees, tree limbs and power lines in Viburnum and along Highway Y north of town. One tree fell onto a house causing moderate damage. Also, several of the trees fell onto Highway Y blocking it for a time.
Thunderstorm winds blew down several large trees. One of the trees fell onto Highway 21 just north of the intersection with Highways 72 and 49. It fell onto a moving pickup truck, smashing the bed. The driver was not injured.
