What the reports say
Written by National Weather Service staff at the time of the event · public domain
Several structures were blown down or sustained damage at and around the intersection of HWY 6 and McCartney Road. A barn was destroyed and a couple residences on either side of the intersection sustained some roof damage. Powerlines along hwy 6 were also down.
Several trees and powerlines were down in the town of Fairport. At least one residence has a roof missing, while other structures in town had trees fall on top of them. This wind damage could be associated with a weak and brief tornado, which was confirmed to have moved through that area, but it's unclear if the damage was a direct result from the tornado or other strong winds from the thunderstorms.
