A wide swath of large hail fell across southern portions of Callaway County. Hail up to the size of baseballs was reported in Holts Summit and the Lake Mykee areas. There were reports of damage to several vehicles including broken windshields.
A wide swath of large hail fell from 5 miles west of New Bloomfield to the southwest side of Fulton. Five miles west of New Bloomfield, several homes sustained siding and tree damage from the large hail. Most of the hail in this location were an inch in diameter, but the biggest hail stones were 2 inches in diameter.
Large trees were blown down across northwest parts of the county with 60 mph wind gusts reported near Auxvasse and along Interstate 70 around Kingdom City. As the line of storms moved through the Fulton area, several trees were blown down with one crushing a mobile home. Winds estimated at 70 mph also ripped sections of a roof off a lumber building.
