A swath of 80-90 mph winds impacted far northern Washington county near Winterville along Hwy 1 and areas along the Bolivar line. Much of this was numerous uprooted, snapped or damaged trees. A few power lines were blown down as well along with some damage to sheds and large tractor barns.
Numerous trees were blown down across the northern part of Greenville with several falling onto homes. Two injuries occurred from a tree falling onto a home to the west-southwest of Metcalfe. Structual damage occurred in downtown Greenville.
A swath of straight line wind damaged occurred from just southwest of Greenville, along Highway 82, to areas within town. Along Highway 82, just before the River bridge, several power lines were blown down. In town, a Hotel sustained roof damage along with a metal car port thrown 30 feet up into a tree. Additionally, a chimney was blown off a mobile home. Many trees were uprooted and snapped along with several power lines down.
