Winds caused roof damage to many structures along with numerous trees down. County Road 600 was especially hard hit. There were 17 homes damaged around the county. Twenty roads were closed and one business was damaged. A wind gust of 74 mph was measured by a spotter about 5 miles southeast of Ripley.
Straight line winds knocked a tree down on a house in Dumas. Numerous trees and power lines were knocked down throughout in Tippah County. Six power poles were destroyed as well. One tree fell across a vehicle. No injuries were reported.
