Northwest part of Jefferson Davis County, numerous trees and some power lines were downed. Some minimal damage observed along MS Highway 13 before winds increased again as the core of the storm moved into Covington County. Numerous trees were blown down along US Highway 84 and southeastward in the areas near the Bouie River.
Numerous trees were blown down from Springhill Church Road to West Sand Road. Some of the locations included Oak Grove Road, Divine Church Road, Rodeo Road, Galiliee, and Old Hebron Road. A large tree fell on four vehicles on 706 Divine Church Road. A tree fell on a double wide trailer on 728 Divine Church Road. A tree fell on a car on Hooker Watts Road.
Numerous trees and power lines were blown down across the northern section of the county. The damage resulted in numerous power outages. Many trees were down across roads with a couple down on homes. This damage occurred as a large bow echo, called a derecho, raced across the region.
