A swath of penny hail fell from just northwest of Goodman, across Durant to just south of West. This occurred from a supercell thunderstorm which moved across eastern Holmes County. The storm and penny sized hail continued into northwest Attala County.
A supercell thunderstorm moved out of Humphreys county in to west-central Holmes county and brought with it a swath of tennis ball sized hail. This large hail fell across the community of Omega as the storm moved east. Due to the rural location of where the hail core passed, no damage was reported.
