Thunderstorms produced large hail which caused a 3 mile wide swath of nearly total crop damage. The amount of crop damage was not known, but the USDA office reported that soybean crops were affected more than corn, and several bean fields were later replanted. Vehicles were also damaged by hail.
Large hail covered the ground in places and caused damage to corn and soybean crops. Some of the damage appeared to be severe, but the amount of crop damage could not be determined because of the uncertainty of the degree of recovery of the crops. Several thousand acres of crops were affected.
Large hail over the eastern part of Lincoln County caused widespread crop damage. Crop damage estimates were available but were incomplete. The hail also broke windows and dented vehicles, but the amount of property damage was not known.
