A local trained spotter reported minor flooding along Interstate 494, at Lyndale Avenue with local construction along the interstate. In addition, Normandale service road had ponding of water between Interstate 494 and West 84th Street.
A local trained weather observer measured 5.88 inches of rainfall in southwestern Brooklyn Park, just west of Crystal. This was between Wednesday afternoon, September 21st, to the early morning of Thursday, September 22nd.
A thunderstorm produced very heavy rainfall in 30 minutes nearing 4 p/hour rainfall rates. Urban street flooding was reported near the intersection of NE Broadway St. and NE Industrial Blvd. Approximately one mile east, a CoCoRaHS observer recorded 2.07 of storm total rainfall.
