The spotter at the headquarters of Porcupine Mountains State Park reported severe downdrafts, trees falling, dime-sized hail, significant lightning and heavy rain and runoff for approximately 20 minutes. Four large trees fell across roads, blocking lanes in the park.
A poplar and spruce tree were reported down across the street of the Running Bear Resort and from nearby trails. Other trees were reported down, but were cleared off the road before being observed by reporter. Timing of the wind damage report was estimated from radar.
