Emergency Management reported flooding on Conococheague Creek near Kemps Mill and Snug Harbor Lane. Water and ice forced the closure of Snug Harbor Lane for approximately two days, from Saturday evening until Monday evening. Water levels decreased enough by Monday evening to allow locals to clear the ice from the road and make it passable again.
The Conococheague Creek at Fairview stream gauge reached minor flood stage with a peak crest of 11.8 feet. At 10 feet, wishard Road and Kemp Mill Road are both flooded. At 11 feet, several roads, including Wishard Road, Kemps Mill Road, Independence Road, Cress Pond Road, and Walnut Point Road, are flooded north of Williamsport.
The USGS stream gage on Sideling Hill Creek near Bellegrove exceeded the 7.5 foot flood stage during the indicated period, flooding lowlands and farmlands near the creek. The peak level of 8.76 feet occurred at 4:15am EST.
