A local newspaper reported a person was killed when thunderstorm winds brought down two locust trees across Route 136 north of Broad Creek. One tree stuck the passenger side of a passing truck. The driver was not injured but the passenger died the next day from the injuries.
Dozens of trees blew down near Hickory, including one onto a house trapping a resident on Glendale Lane. Trees blew down onto wires bringing down a power pole near the intersection of MD-543 North Fountain Green Road and Prospect Mill Road.
Dozens of trees blew down near Pylesville and Churchville, including on MD-543 Ady Road near Doyle Road. Several trees blew down into the roadway near the intersection of MD-136 Priestford Road and Northern Dancer Drive.
