Numerous trees were blown down across the parish with several vehicles blown off roadways. Shingles were blown off a house outside of Newellton and a tractor trailer was blown off the road. It was towing a mobile home and it was damaged in the accident.
A swath of intense straight line winds, between 80 and 90 mph, occurred across the northern portion of town, across Highway 605, and to the Mississippi River. Several structures were damaged with minor to major roof damage. An open tractor shed had the roof torn off along with another shed. A string of 12 power lines were down with around 12 poles leaning over. One pole was snapped at the crossbow. Most of this area was open, but several trees were snapped and uprooted near the levee.
A significant swath of wind damage occurred across the northern portion of Tensas Parish, generally from Newlight to Newellton. Numerous trees were blown down across this area along with several power poles. Damage occurred across portions of Highway 128, 525 and 888. Four mobile homes sustained significant roof damage along with a couple hunting camps.
