A devestating hail storm developed during the early morning hours in the Shreveport area. Widespread reports of hail up to baseball size were reported and even a few isolated report of softball size hail in southern areas of Shreveport. Many vehicles suffered heavy damage along with house rooftops being damaged. Also many windows were broken.
Hail up to half dollar sized hail was reported across the west side of Shreveport, as well as the Southern Hills area of Southwest and Southern Shreveport. The hail lasted for several minutes with hail drifts reported several inches deep in some places.
