Dime-size hail and thunderstorm wind gusts which downed trees was reported in DeRidder. South of DeRidder a tornado touched down, damaging several house roofs and sheared off trees. Tornado path length and width estimated.
Severe thunderstorms produced damaging wind gusts and hail in Beauregard Parish during the late afternoon and early evening. The most extensive damage occurred in DeRidder where several trees were toppled, and the roof of a high school was damaged by strong wind gusts.
