What the reports say

Numerous trees and power lines were blown down across the parish. In Marksville, the high school had a canopy over the walkways destroyed. In Cottonport, a flowershop was damaged. In Simmesport, some homes received structural damage from falling trees.
A severe thunderstorm over the Bunkie area downed a few trees and broke branches. Winds were estimated to be 65 MPH with gusts up to 70. Some of the downed branches and trees fell onto homes causing damage. Also, Bunkie High School had the roof of a portable building blown off.
