What the reports say

Large hail driven by 60 to 80 mph winds caused widespread damage throughout the north half of the county. Many windows were broken, siding chip and riped and vehicles damaged. Several school buildings suffered enough damage to cancel class for at least a day.
Softball sized hail relayed via law enforcement through 800 mhz radio. However it is noted that no photo evidence was associated with this report. There were no other reports of larger than ping pong ball size hail occurred with this storm.
