Golfball to tennis ball size hail affected Ellsworth. The only reported damage included windows broken out near the Ellsworth golf course. However, other hail damage not reported likely occurred, especially to area roofs and vehicles. Therefore, property damage amounts are rough estimates.
A homestead suffered severe damage from baseball to softball sized hail. The hail damaged 22 windowpanes and also killed 10 calves and chickens. Numerous farm fields were also flattened by the hail, destroying almost mature wheat.
