Multiple rounds of thunderstorms, along with already saturated ground, resulted in significant ponding of water in fields and low lying areas. A few county gravel roads were also briefly inundated after the heaviest rain the afternoon of May 21st requiring minor repair to the gravel surface. Water was also reported in some basements in the Linn Grove area due to a high water table. No reports of damage or impacts to structures from surface water flooding were received. Property damage costs are a rough estimate.
Persistent moderate to heavy rain caused flooding of fields and other lowlands, including several roads, homes, and businesses. This flooding lasted for almost two days, and was aggravated locally by additional storms during that time. Some roads were damaged or washed out.
