Rainfall and warm temperatures that occurred on and off during the second half of December led to flooding of bottomlands, parks, and lowest roads along the Wabash River during late December and very early January, affecting Vermillion County at and near Montezuma river gage. This flood event continued into January.
Rainfall and warm temperatures that occurred on and off during the second half of December led to flooding of bottomlands, parks, and lowest roads along the Wabash River during late December and very early January, affecting Vermillion County at and near the Montezuma river gage. This flood event is a continuation from December.
Flooding occurred along the Wabash River north-northeast of Perrysville, Indiana, in the proximity of Covington, Indiana of neighboring Fountain County. The river crested 8.1 feet above flood stage on May 18th at a reading of 24.1 feet. Damage costs are grossly estimated.
