The Muscogee County Fire and Rescue Department reported that quarter-sized hail cracked the windshield of one of their ambulances in the city. The public and the Muscogee County 911 Center also reported penny-sized hail throughout Columbus.
An amateur radio operator reported nickel-sized hail in Columbus and the public reported reported penny-sized hail just south of Columbus. In addition, the amateur radio operator estimated wind gusts at 50 mph during the storm.
