A microburst caused F1 damage along a half mile path. Three mobile homes were destroyed. Two occupants inside one of the mobile homes were injured, one seriously. Six mobile homes were damaged. Some trees and power lines down. Reported by Mitchell County 911.
Thunderstorm winds knocked over numerous trees including two 60-foot Pecan trees. The fallen trees caused roof and structure damage to a home. Thunderstorm winds also blew a satellite dish off of the city's water tower. Power was also out for two and one-half hours.
One tree fell on a home in Baconton. A picture posted on social media shows that the trunk of the tree split and may have been rotted. No other trees down or wind damage was reported in the area. Damage was estimated.
