Reports from Ormond Beach police and multiple local broadcast media indicated two people were injured when a large tree fell onto them in Ormond Beach. Both men were unloading furniture from a truck in the driveway of a home near Arroyo Parkway when the tree fell, and were transported to a local hospital with injuries. One man suffered a critical head injury during the incident and died the following day (July 23).
Thunderstorm winds produced widespread damage to a mobile home community southwest of Osteen. Many of the homes had damage to attached sun rooms, awnings and sheds. About 15 trees were blown down. The event was accompanied by a large amount of small hail.
Media reports indicated damage to mobile homes at the Raintree Village Mobile Home Park in Deland. Minor damage to a few adjacent homes was reported. Also, a resident reported damage to the roof of a nearby gas station at the intersection of US Highway 17 and US Highway 11.
