A utility company storm survey in Webster showed an unanchored and unused mobile home flipped and totally destroyed with the debris field extending in a straight line to the northeast. Large tree limbs brought down power lines in the area. Emergency Management also reported an older mobile home with one third of the home destroyed near Center Hill. At least 100 trees were downed during this downburst event.
Sumter county sheriffs department and emergency management reported that thunderstorm winds caused minor roof and awning damage to six homes and downed numerous trees and power lines which blocked County Roads 114, 116, 117, 118, 121, 125, 153, 155, 163 and 468. Most of the damage to homes occurred in the Lake Miona, Orange Home and Lake Deaton areas of Sumter county.
Damaging thunderstorm winds knocked down the traffic light at the intersection of County Road 466A and Buena Vista Blvd in The Villages. There were numerous reports of trees and power lines down in the area and a pool cage was blown onto the roof of a house. The ASOS observation from The Villages was about a mile to the northeast and recorded a 53 MPH wind gust.
